National Asian Pacific American Women Forum Happy Hour
The Washington, DC Chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum is dedicated to building a community of progressive AAPI women leaders in the DC metro area through education, advocacy, and a robust support network. Join their monthly Happy Hour on February 26th.
Charity Happy Hour at Umaya w/ 30s & 40s Going Out Group
Our happy hour will benefit One Common Unity, a member supported non-profit organization whose mission is to create and nurture sustainable communities through innovative peace education, arts, and media…. requested $5 or $10 cash donation (but not required). www.onecommonunity.org Please note 80% of donations go to One Common Unity and 20% of donations will go to the 30s & 40s Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses.
DJ Saam will be spinning beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 100 – 150 folks… and I wouldn’t be surprised with a similar turnout this time around (Note: I’ve been getting this question a lot lately, but please know our 30s & 40s Going Out Group’s RSVP numbers are not inflated with +99 added to the organizer’s RSVP or due to signups from a previous “rotating” or “recurring” event, nor is this event a combination of multiple groups with no relation to each other).
Quality Trust: Better Together Reception
Join us at Umaya on Tuesday, March 12, from 4:30 – 7:00pm as we celebrate March, Developmental Disabilities Awareness month with Quality Trust! Quality Trust is a disability advocacy nonprofit working to make sure our neighbors with disabilities are living the best life possible in the District of Columbia. We’re excited to have them host their annual Better Together Reception here to celebrate the awesome things people with disabilities and Quality Trust are achieving in DC. Stop by after work….meet some great folks and make a contribution to a great nonprofit.
